The Tattlebox is a monitoring system for boats that allows its owners to keep an eye on their boats remotely. It is a wireless system that alerts with push notifications to any conditions that may reflect an adverse condition with a vessel – e.g., disconnected from shore power, suspicious temperatures, intruder on board, batteries low, or a geofence broken.

  • The product comprises two devices: an IoT device (the TBOX) and, a companion device (the TMATE) that allows for remote (~50 feet from TBOX) sensing / control of additional GPIOs.
  • Low power consumption – 200 uA on average. Competing products have ~20mA. 
  • Motion detector, sound detector/microphone, camera – most competing products do not provide this out of the box, or at all.
  • Ease of setup – The Tattlebox can be set up in minutes and requires no wiring to the boat battery to power up or do anything.
