01 /About The Role

UnioTech is looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our team in Khmelnytskyi.

In this role, you will contribute to the complete PCB development cycle, including hardware architecture, component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, board bring-up, testing, and preparation for production.

You will work on embedded systems and connected devices in close collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and embedded software engineers. The role combines independent engineering work with multidisciplinary system development and provides an opportunity to contribute to products designed for real-world operation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse product and system requirements from a hardware perspective.
  • Define hardware architecture and make key electronic design decisions.
  • Select components considering performance, availability, lifecycle, power consumption, and cost.
  • Develop schematic designs and PCB layouts.
  • Prepare and maintain BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform board bring-up, hardware testing, validation, and debugging.
  • Design and test circuits involving microcontrollers, sensors, power supplies, communication interfaces, and wireless modules.
  • Use laboratory equipment to investigate and resolve hardware issues.
  • Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers during system integration.
  • Communicate with component suppliers, PCB manufacturers, and assembly partners.
  • Support prototypes during certification, pilot production, and manufacturing.
  • Improve and maintain existing electronic designs.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience in electronics development and PCB design.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Practical experience with schematic design and multilayer PCB layout.
  • Experience with Altium Designer and KiCad.
  • Understanding of microcontroller-based embedded systems.
  • Experience selecting components and analysing technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I²C, USB, CAN, or Ethernet.
  • Understanding of power supply design, grounding, signal integrity, and PCB stack-up principles.
  • Practical experience with board bring-up, testing, and hardware debugging.
  • Confident use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Understanding of DFM, DFA, EMC, and EMI principles.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical and manufacturing documentation.
  • English sufficient for technical documentation and project communication.
